Covering 76,000 businesses which employ over 2 million people, Semta has 4 distinct operations which all contribute to a combined turnover of £15 million. Our high profile Board now looks to make the following significant appointment.
As a member of a lively and creative senior management team, this role is responsible for the development and direction of finance and the wider corporate support areas. Reporting to the Chief Executive, key responsibilities include:
- Devising and implementing ambitious and viable strategies to achieve goals and ensuring such plans are well communicated and understood
- Budget setting, monitoring and reviewing with the Chief Executive and wider management team
- Providing stimulating leadership to the team, fostering a collegiate approach, encouraging internal co-operation and ensuring clear targets are agreed, monitored and achieved
- Acting as the lead business partner to operational staff across the 4 separate parts of the Group, educating and empowering colleagues
You will be a qualified finance professional with a track record of considerable success at Director level. You will have the presence, intelligence and character to influence at all levels and experience of satisfying a broad range of customers with different priorities.
This is not a position for the fainthearted. It is a role with genuine ability to influence. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to switch from a strategic to operational perspective and display a pro-active, open style of communication.
