About the Role:

Your key responsibility will be ensuring that daily, monthly and cyclical objectives and deadlines of the organisation are met. This will include producing detailed budgets and financial forecasts. It is vital that you are able to effectively communicate financial information, enabling the relevant stakeholders to make tactical decisions based on your financial information. Alongside providing internal information, you will be involved in assessing the financial position of certain areas of the organisation and provide financial statements for external financial reports. You would also be part of the finance team supporting and overseeing existing financial activities, such as maintaining ledgers and ensuring information is inputted promptly and accurately.

About the Person:

As a finalist or fully qualified accountant, you will:

• Have experience preparing and presenting budgets within a large, complex organisation
• Be able to take the lead on budgeting & financial planning, liaising with all levels of stakeholders
• Have some exposure to statutory account preparation
• Preferably have previous exposure managing staff in a financial setting
• Be ambitious and driven to meet deadlines and achieve objectives to the highest standards
• Be Confident in presenting financial information and influencing non-financial stakeholders within the organisation
• Take an innovative approach and show initiative in tackling tasks

Following a departmental restructure, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of Finance Managers to join the Financial Management team.  These roles will support both clinical units and corporate departments.  As members of the senior finance team, the successful candidates will fully participate in developing and implementing strategic finance policies and guidance.

Reporting into the Head of Financial Management & Planning you will be required to lead a team of Finance Managers and Assistant Finance Managers, responsible for the provision of an expert financial management service to a portfolio of clinical units and/or corporate departments.  You will be required to support the Financial Management Team, with the development and implementation of the Trust’s medium to long term strategy.

The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified accountant, either currently working within the healthcare sector or a similar environment.  You will be a strong leader with sound analytical and problem solving skills.  You will have a strong technical skill set coupled with excellent academics and strong relationship building skills.  In person you must demonstrate confidence, poise, and integrity to work within an established and high profile organisation

This individual will be accountable for the transition of new clients to the platform and to ensure the needs of future and existing clients are dealt with properly, and by one team.

Adept at developing and leading a client relations team and engaging with senior management and board level individuals, you will have significant experience of leading major change programmes to time and budget through managing multi-disciplinary teams. You will have experience of client management and ideally new business development; exposure to a large, complex organisation is essential; whilst being integral to the creation of a shared service centre is desirable.

This role may be based in either London or South Wales.

This individual will be ultimately driving the transition to the shared service centre through driving the major programmes and transformation work, through leadership of cross functional teams and engagement between the client and transition teams.

Ideally prince 2 qualified, the successful candidate will be able to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. You must have outstanding influencing skills, experience of leading change effectively within a start-up environment and of delivering complex change initiatives to time and budget. Clearly your experience of leading projects will be key.
