Similarly to the wider NHS sector, the organisation has faced significant financial challenges of late and there is a real appetite to review the way in which we operate and manage our clinical and corporate services. The current Deputy Director of Finance is being seconded into the team that will oversee this transformation programme for a fixed term to redefine the way in which the organisation currently functions.
Therefore, we are looking for a Deputy Director of Finance for a 12-18 month contract with drive, ambition and a passion for excellence. Reporting to the Associate Chief Executive – Finance, the post holder will be responsible for the overall management and continued development of the Trust’s Finance function. We are looking for someone with the ability to innovate and adapt the finance function to support our evolving service models. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a high profile and demanding organisation.
The post holder will take the lead role in ensuring the Trust’s statutory and internal financial reporting and planning requirements are met, that executives, clinicians and managers receive high quality financial management information to meet the business needs of the Trust, enabling the Trust to deliver value for money and achieve its challenging financial targets.
The post holder will also take the lead role in developing the Finance Team to ensure processes are efficient, effective and consistent across all divisions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will be someone who pushes the boundaries, who wants to create a finance team with a reputation for innovation and excellence.
You will have post-qualified experience and your career will demonstrate considerable achievements in the NHS or large, complex environments. In addition, you will possess a versatile and inspiring management approach and a real appetite to undertake broad and challenging position.
