Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, and with overall responsibility for leading and developing The King’s Fund’s ICT function, the purpose of the role is to provide strategic and operational leadership in respect of the Fund’s use of ICT.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining the approved ICT strategy in support of the Fund’s business objectives and strategic and operational plans;
  • Liaising closely with technical and business stakeholders, acting as a bridge between technology and the wider organisation;
  • Managing a small team of ICT technical subject experts, and developing a working environment based on collaboration and supporting other team members;
  • Managing ICT resources, and effectively delivering ICT services to internal and external users

A core element of this role will be delivering a highly efficient Service Management function, including introducing the ITIL framework and the installation and ongoing management of a supporting software tool.

The current environment, which has recently been upgraded, utilises Microsoft technologies and applications, including Office365, Azure, SharePoint Online and Dynamics NAV. Third party tools such as Rendezvous Events and EventBrite are also used.

To succeed in this position, you will have experience of leading an IT department and managing projects that include delivery of change. You will have a can-do attitude, strong commercial understanding of Microsoft technologies and ideally previous experience of introducing ITIL service management. We need a confident and personable communicator, able to articulate both technical and non-technical requirements, with a strong focus towards providing high levels of customer service.
