The University of London is seeking a Deputy Financial Controller (Academic) to join the Finance and Planning Department on a full time, open ended basis.

FINANCE AND PLANNING
The Finance and Planning department supports the University in achieving its stated aims and objectives by the provision of an effective and efficient support service embracing the management of its finances and the management and operation of its estate. We are committed to achieving the delivery of an outstanding level of service and support to our whole customer base.
As the Deputy Financial Controller, you will be working within the Financial Services Team, and you will be responsible for managing a team made up of a Supervisor and two Financial Services Officers. You will cover Academic areas within the University and will run the day to day financial operations of the team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with other members of the Finance and Planning Team, along with members of their relevant areas including UoLIA and SAS to provide an effective and efficient service. The Deputy Financial Controller (Academic) will work with their team to improve the communication between the Financial Services Team and their area whilst building good working relations with those areas.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing and motivating a team and financial experience of working within an Academic environment. They will be a part qualified accountant, with the view to qualify within 18 months. We're seeking an advanced communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and who is committed to offering a high level of cutstomer service.
