We are supporting Viapath in their search for a Financial Operations Manager. Viapath is a partnership of clinical, scientific and operational expertise whose goal is to advance pathology services within the UK. The organisation has been through a significant amount of structural change over the last twelve months. With the new structure in place, it is an exciting time to be joining Viapath and will hopefully open up more opportunities in the future.
The Financial Operations Manager will be supporting the Group Financial Controller in managing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control teams. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing up to six members of staff across the three operational areas, providing annual appraisals and 1-2-1 support;
- Ensuring that customer disputes are minimised and brought to successful resolution;
- Monthly reporting to the Group Financial Controller and providing management information against KPIs;
- Ensuring that supplier payments are made within agreed terms and that aged debt is minimised.
The successful applicant will have relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Credit Control and should have the capability and right attitude to be able to manage a large team. You will come from either a commercial background or a healthcare-related industry. You will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to have a customer-focused approach to your work. You will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when it comes to analysing information and producing reports. Candidates must also be willing to “roll up sleeves” and get involved in a wide range of tasks when necessary due to the size of the organisation.
