King’s College London is looking for a high calibre Senior Management Accountant to provide quality financial support and advice in pursuit of the university’s stated academic objectives.

The post sits within the Finance Department, in the Management Accounts team responsible for the Health Faculties with a specific focus on supporting the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences (IOPPN) and the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery (FNFNM).  Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance (Health) and overseeing a team of 3, this is a key role and plays an integral part in leading the Health finance team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing business partnering support to the two Faculties (IOPPN and FNFNM);
  • Working with other senior staff to develop and improve an already well-established wider Health Finance team;
  • Continuously seeking to improve data quality, processes, reporting and its eventual use in influencing management action;

The successful candidate must be a professionally qualified accountant with strong Excel skills.  You will be a proven finance business partner who is likely aspiring for the next step toward an Assistant Director level role. You will need the right levels of communication skills and political awareness to influence and build rapport with a range of finance and non-finance stakeholders up to VP level.
