Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust provides both physical and mental health services to local communities and prisons around the South of London and Kent. They currently have a workforce of around 3,500 people and cover over 125 different sites, ensuring that they provide services to a diverse group of people of all ages.
The Senior Management Accountant for Corporate and Forensic and Prison Services is an exciting role to be joining Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust for. You will act autonomously and proactively to support the Senior Finance Manager in providing strategy and financial support to the divisional heads of the Forensic and Prisons directorate.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing highly complex financial advice and information to your directorate by the investigation, analysis, manipulation and presentation of data;
- Providing highly complex strategic financial and business advice to managers and budget holders in a clear and persuasive way;
- Analysing complex problems relating to business cases and making judgement on financial decisions;
- Preparing and completing statutory business information returns and income and expenditure accounts in accordance with monthly and annual timetables.
The successful applicant will be a newly-qualified or finalist CCAB accountant with previous experience of working within Financial Management. You will ideally come from the NHS but may also come from the wider public or commercial sectors. Applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills and will be able to deal with large volumes of complex data. You will be proactive and be able to work autonomously when required. addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be confident and assertive, but sensitive to the wider issues of the business.
