The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is the largest and most comprehensive cancer centre in Europe, treating over 50,000 NHS and private patients every year. It is a centre of excellence with an international reputation for ground-breaking research and pioneering the very latest in cancer treatments and technologies, as well as specialising in cancer diagnosis and education.
The Royal Marsden, with the ICR, is the only National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre dedicated solely to cancer. First awarded the status in 2006, it was re-awarded in 2011. £62 million is provided over five years to be shared across eight different cancer themes.
We are looking for a bright and talented individual to join the finance function at The Royal Marsden.
Reporting into the Finance Business Partner for Corporate and Clinical Services, the Finance Manager supports Clinical Services, the largest and most complex directorate of the Trust, including Surgery, Medicines Management, Pathology and Imaging.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Being responsible for the delivery of high quality management information, analysis and advice; financial forecasting, budget-setting and 3-5 year financial plans;
- Supporting ad hoc financial projects and business cases;
- Communicating complex financial information to stakeholders and possessing the ability to influence and build rapport with a range of finance and non-finance persons across the organisation .
- Line Management of an Assistant finance manager and Management Accountant.
The successful candidate will be fully qualified from an Audit, NHS, Commercial or wider Public Sector background. You will be highly motivated, able to work and communicate well with both finance and clinical staff, and will have a strong commitment to proactive and continuous development of themselves and in their areas of work.
