We are supporting Moorfields Eye Hospital in their search for a Credit Control Team Leader for Moorfields Private.  Having a reputation as a centre of excellence, Moorfields Private provides ophthalmic care to private patients from the UK and across the world.  With new leadership in place, Moorfields Private has restructured their finance team, the Credit Control Team Leader being one of the newly-created roles.  With the new structure in place, it is an exciting time to be joining Moorfields Private and will hopefully open up more opportunities in the future.

The Credit Control Team Leader will be supporting the Head of Finance in providing an effective and pro-active credit control service to the business.  Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and helping drive improvements in Bad Debt, DSO, Cash Collections, call monitoring and Accounts Receivable;
  • Building, strengthening and improving customer relationships;
  • Undertaking all personnel management activities including appraisals, staff rotas, annual leave and sickness absence;
  • Developing and maintaining credit control policies and procedures;
  • Providing summary and detailed monthly reports to the Head of Finance;
  • Creating analysis and resolving complex debt issues.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level and ideally be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification. You will ideally have had previous similar management experience within the private healthcare sector or other commercial industry.  You will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly explain financial information to non-finance managers.  You will demonstrate a high level of accuracy and sound judgement and should be able to investigate into complex issues and show tenacity when resolving problems.  Finally, candidates should be able to demonstrate evidence of building strong relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
