We are currently recruiting a Group Planning Analyst for the British Council, the UK's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. The role will provide general support for all planning activities, providing analysis, consolidation data and insight. They will also play a key role in the development of workbooks for 5 year planning.

The Role:

  • Provide a comprehensive financial planning and forecasting service to identified recipients of all financial information in the UK, Regions, SBUs and externally. This role will support the delivery of annual budgets/forecasts and support multi-year planning.
  • Develop an excellent understanding of all MI and planning systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the design, agreement and implementation of continual improvements to planning service with internal customers, aligning business needs and introducing innovations to the process taken from external best-practice
  • Support and ensure alignment to the production of management information that sets out a clear understanding of the financial performance of all products, services, contracts and other activities The British Council delivers.
  • Work closely with the UK and Regional FP&A teams to ensure consistency and alignment of all financial planning activity
  • Work closely with the Group Planning Manager and Strategic Planning teams to develop workbooks and financial guidance for 5 year planning. Provide support to colleagues using these and once completed, carry out consolidation of these.

Package:

  • £42,000 - £47,000 basic salary

The Candidate:

  • Fully qualified Accountant
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Experienced in financial planning & analysis, including management information reporting
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good communicator and able to build relationships across all levels
