DfE have a full programme of reform across the organisation to improve teaching and learning, enhance quality and actively promote social mobility and access to good schools, colleges, universities and other providers. This is an agenda where finance plays an increasingly important role. Ever tighter budgets mean the department and their delivery partners need to be as effective and efficient as they can be.
The Department for Education was seeking 10 new recruits across four different areas of the finance team and looked for similar key competencies for all of the roles; leading & communicating, managing a quality service, delivering at pace and collaborating & partnering. When leading on this, our most recent multi-vacancy campaign for them (here), our microsite was able to portray how exciting a time it was to join the Department by maximising their Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
Each of these role, whether they are in Financial Reporting or Financial Strategy, would play a key part in building a strong and empowered finance team, supporting the department to make evidence-based decisions and deliver the best outcomes for their learners, users and taxpayers.
