Brief/Problem:

Having grown ten-fold in the past decade, and doubled in size over the past two years, Transparency International UK is embarking on a major project to invest more in their finance, HR, IT and operations, to make sure that their ‘back office’ is able to support as fully as possible their mission and organisational aspirations.

As this was a newly created position, this was the first time the organisation sought to appoint a COO and Allen Lane’s nous and experienced was relied upon to support the recruitment. TI-UK sought an exceptional individual to become the figure-head for the Finance, IT, HR and Programme Delivery teams during a thoroughly exciting period of change and growth. Operationally, TI-UK are present in a number of countries overseas as well as the UK, and the candidate was to play an important role in understanding and managing the related risks and opportunities, as well as being responsible for thinking ahead strategically about their funding and operations.
