The Operational Management Accountant will report to the Head of Operational Finance and be responsible for overseeing and directing the provision of a comprehensive accounting service, supporting Senior Operational Management to facilitate the decision making process related to business direction and the achieving of business plans and goals. The successful candidate will have excellent management, leadership and organisational skills, be confident and unafraid to ask challenging questions and able to think strategically and laterally. This is an analytical role, and you will be required to be a free-thinker, persuasive and show initiative. The role will support the Managing Director of Business Process Services with regard to:
- Responsibility for financial reporting to clients across the UK;
- Providing relevant detailed analysis on costs and revenue for new business bids, new client proposals and new product evaluation, along with revenues/costs analysis for existing solutions and services;
- Responsibility for raising relevant and detailed business cases and product cost and revenue analysis;
- Responsibility for consolidating and reporting of monthly board packs.
To be suitable for the role you need to be a fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience, and the ability to work at a strategic level in a large multi-service organisation. Experience of advising senior management teams on strategic and financial issues, and previous exposure to business planning processes, systems and controls.
