Finance Manager – Private Patients
Date posted: 05/05/2022
Duration: 6 months
Salary: £300 - £340 per day
A challenging new Finance Manager role has arisen at an acute NHS Trust for an experienced accountant to lead the financial management of its Private Patients unit and play an important role in its commercial development.
As the key interface between the finance department and the operational and clinical managers, you will manage the monthly financial process with the support of a small management accounts team. Responsible for the budgeting and production of the accounts, it is essential to keep the system, reporting and business support performing well. The role will include the opportunity to review of the current processes and procedures of the division and develop a plan for improvement in conjunction with the Head of Private Patients and the Head of Financial Management.
You should a qualified accountant or equivalent with a mix of experience in financial management within the NHS and – crucially – experience in more general commercial environments, perhaps with international links. Ideally, this will include exposure to a Private Patients division and Compucare, but this is not essential. Strong communication skills will be very important as you will be liaising with a wide range of finance and non-finance people and you will need to demonstrate the ability to influence and persuade. Additionally, you will need to show first rate commercial awareness.
For the right candidate, this will be a great opportunity to lend your existing experience to another organisation and lead them through a programme of expansion.
