The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is a world famous organisation, internationally respected for its outstanding living collection of plants and world-class herbarium as well as its scientific expertise in plant diversity, conservation and sustainable development.

Allen Lane is proud to be partnering with Kew Gardens in their recruitment for a Management Accountant to join the organisation in an exciting period of change.  The post will work closely with Senior Management Accountants and the Head of Financial Planning and Performance.

This is a key role and you will be required to:

  • Supporting the financial planning team in the annual budgeting cycle including variance and cost centre analysis.
  • Contribute to the month end process including accruals, prepayments and journal calculations.
  • Assist with process improvement projects relating to the finance system(s)
  • Provide general support to the finance team during busy periods including year end.

The successful candidate will be someone who has already chosen a career in accounting, backed up by both early stage practical experience and professional studies. Now looking to take their first step towards management accounting and business partnering, this role is a great fit for someone who is ambitious, proactive and looking to fast track their career.
