The Operational Management Accountant will report to the Head of Operational Finance and be responsible for overseeing and directing the provision of a comprehensive accounting service to our HR & Payroll Services division, supporting Senior Operational Management to facilitate the decision making process related to business direction and the achieving of business plans and goals. The successful candidate will have excellent management, leadership and organisational skills, be confident and unafraid to ask challenging questions and able to think strategically and laterally. This is an analytical role, and you will be required to be a free-thinker, persuasive and show initiative. The role will be responsible for:

  • financial reporting of all HR & Payroll services;
  • evaluation and provision of revenue and costs analysis for existing solutions and services;
  • raising relevant detailed business cases, product cost and revenue analysis;
  • consolidating and reporting of monthly board pack;
  • supporting and guiding Operational leaders on decision making.

To be suitable for the role you need to be a fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience, and the ability to work at a strategic level in a large multi-service organisation. Tenacity and confidence to generate improvements and develop new ideas is key and experience of working in a similar role, ideally within a HR & Payroll services environment.
