This is a permanent position in which you will lead a team of infrastructure analysts and provide technical support and management of the organisation’s cloud and infrastructure systems ensuring security and operational activities are maintained. In this role you will be required to come into the central London office 1 or 2 days per week.
The role
As the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to:
- Lead the team of infrastructure Analysts ensuring that strong customer service is maintained at all times
- Be the expert on Cloud and infrastructure technologies and services ensuring its security, availability, and reliability on a day-to-day basis
- Provide day to day incident and problem management of all cloud and infrastructure services, managing changes to Cloud and network infrastructure to make sure they are kept up to date
- Lead on the delivery and implementation of agreed technical solutions and support the IT disaster recovery and business continuity process including backup and recovery within agreed RTO and RPO’s
- Work with 3rd part suppliers to agree SLA’s and ensure they are upheld
- Ensure that all technical documentation is produced for all supported infrastructure
Key skills required
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will have:
- Strong problem solving skills
- Previous experience working as a Cloud & Infrastructure Analyst/Engineer in a complex environment with infrastructure hosted both on and off site, including PaaS and SaaS
- Experience working within an ITIL framework (foundation as a minimum)
- Strong project management skills
- High level of technical expertise and understanding
- Ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues
- Experience administering public cloud infrastructure (Azure)
- Good knowledge of Network Protocols, systems and security
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, SCCM, SCOM, web application management, telephony systems
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
