Financial Control Manager

My client, one of the nations most highly regarded membership bodies and are currently seeking a Financial Accountant who will report directly into the Financial Controls Manager to join a dynamic finance team providing high quality support.

The organisation is currently going through a strong period of growth. To continue this they require a strong Financial Control Manager who is ambitious and self-motivated to bring a fresh dynamic to the team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance this role will be responsible for :

• Delivering efficient and robust Financial Accounting support to the wider organisation; including year-end statutory accounts preparation, the year end audit process and the provision of proactive taxation/gift aid advice;
• Reviewing and enhancing financial controls; driving forward continuous improvement to processes; managing ad hoc change projects as required, as the organisation moves to a more agile business.
• Developing the relationship with the wider finance team and communicating complex and contentiously complex information to managers and staff across the charity.

The successful candidate is likely to be newly qualified from the Not for Profit, Commercial or wider Public Sector. You will have robust technical skills and direct experience of year end statutory accounts preparation. You will be an excellent communicator with the confidence to communicate and build rapport with a wide range of internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be ambitious and self-motivated looking to pursue their career in the not for profit sector. This would suit someone looking to make their first move out of practice and would provide an excellent platform in your career.
