Finance Business Partner

Acting as a Finance Business Partner for the Corporate Finance area this role will involve but by no means be limited to:

• Management of a team of two
• Leading and managing medium term financial planning
• Preparing reports for officers and Members on all financial planning and budgeting issues up to and including  the annual report setting
• Ensure that all relevant issues are reflected in financial plans and budgets
• Ensuring that capital and revenue planning are fully integrated into monthly reporting
• Ensure the council has an integrated approach to strategic financial planning
• Co-ordinate revenue and capital monitoring for the Council and develop corporate ratios and KPI’s

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant
• Extensive Finance Business Partnering experience
• Experience of medium term financial planning 5 years plus
• Experience of Local Authority, Central Government or Housing sector

This role will mostly be fully remote with one day per month in the office. Experience of Local Authority accounting is highly desirable.
