Accountant

My local authority client currently have a need for an Accountant to work with the Senior Accountant to add capacity to the team.

Main Duties:

• Prepare and co-ordinate annual revenue and capital estimates, work with budget managers to monitor budgets
• Assisting the corporate finance team in analysing employees and agency cost,
• Maintain and monitor revenue and capital accounts, prepare and co-ordinate estimates.
• Assisting in preparation of the budget book analysing salary estimates and carrying out salary reconciliation.
• Project work across finance looking at improving processes and working with budget holders to move to be more self service.

You will be part or nearly qualified (Qualified by experience will also be considered), You will have worked within local government finance and have a good understanding of the various service areas, and improving processes
