Interim Senior Strategy and Policy Officer – Crime and Community

A London Borough are currently going through a restructure, and due to changes internally the Community Safety Team currently have a need for an interim to  support the directorate at a relatively senior level.

The post holder will work alongside the Head of Community Safety and other senior officers, working across the organisation you will lead on and support programme and policy development to reduce priority crime and disorder issues within the borough.

You will also play a role in the design, development and implementation of  “Tackling Violence against Young People” strategy, working with senior officers, community members, elected members and third sector groups to build a 10 year public health approach to reducing violence against young people in Lambeth.

Within the role you will help design and develop crime reduction specific programmes and services, working with partners and residents to reduce crime.

You will have a proven background from crime/community safety within a policy/ strategy role.

Experience of commissioning and business cases would also be beneficial.
