Head of Finance

My client is a leading research healthcare charity in the UK that’s ambitious strategy is driven by a passionate and talented team.  An exciting opportunity has arisen to come in as the Head of Finance on a 6 month fixed term contract. This role is pivotal in the organisation, acting as the focus for the timely provision of all management information as well as leading the finance team in delivering a full financial accounting and statutory reporting service.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading on the year end and audit period.
• Managing the financial planning and forecasting.
• Leading on the annual budget process.
• Be Finance Business Partner to the management team.
• Leading, motivating and managing the finance team.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification experience at a senior level. They will have extensive experience of the above in a charity environment with ideally solid knowledge of Charity SORP.  They must be a dynamic leader, exceptional communicator and proactive worker.
