Redbridge Council has an ambitious digital programme and needs dedicated and talented developers to help deliver and support it. In these roles you will be part of an agile team implementing a number of customer focussed, online products to further their portfolio of digital services, from automation to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Working with stakeholders from across the organisation and beyond you will be creating innovative, easy to use, data driven improvements to truly change the way Redbridge Council interacts, collaborates and engages not just with their citizens, but with internal colleagues too.
Overall Role Purpose:
- Ensuring effective IT, web and other application development and support services are delivered to all council users, internal and external.
- Providing an excellent customer experience for council technology users, including residents, business and visitors to the borough.
- Development of high quality web, application and associated interface products
- To be a subject matter expert for colleagues on digital and web development.
The Web & Digital Development Team creates and maintains the council’s web sites, defining the public presence of Redbridge council. The quality and professionalism of the team’s work has an immediate and visible impact on the council’s reputation and on its ability to deliver services to the public. Internally the team create and maintain specialist applications and interfaces between third party systems, enabling secure and structured sharing and exploitation of data throughout the council and with our partner agencies.
You will need to have experience with the following:
- ASP .NET MVC C#
- MS SQL Server
Experience with the following is also desirable:
- Umbraco CMS
- Team Foundation Server
- Octopus Deploy
