Finance Business Partner
Sector: Central Government

Salary: £250 - £300 per day
An interesting interim Finance Business Partner role has arisen at a government department in the North West for an experienced accountant.
You will be responsible for the financial management of a specific directorate which is going through a period of change. Working closely with senior management and the wider finance team, you will prepare the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast for the area and ensure that credible budgets and forecasts are developed which will withstand scrutiny from the SMT and Board. In order to deliver this, it will be important to build effective working relationships with the management team and wider business, become a credible adviser to them and positively challenge the use of resources in meeting demand, performance measures and business plan priorities.
The appropriate candidate should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with strong communication skills with staff at all levels, up to and including director level. You should have an extensive experience in the financial management of a division in a larger organisation where you will have supported and challenged budget holders and aided decision making. Ideally you will have exposure to government or the wider public sector, but most important will be your ability to rapidly form effective working relationships and add value to the team.
This opening represents a great chance to bring your previous experience to bear and help out a busy team. It is likely to include work that is varied and challenging.
