You will already have heard of Comic Relief, or, our campaign brands, Red Nose Day and Sport Relief. Over the last few decades, together these have raised over a £1bn for those who need it most at home and abroad.

We are looking for a dedicated and driven Financial Accountant to provide high quality support to the Finance Team in provision of an efficient and effective financial accounting service for the organisation.

It’s an exciting time to join Comic Relief as we draw towards another campaign night in March and we will soon welcome a new Chief Executive steering the organisation to more success in an ever changing and challenging environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting system and associated reporting package, maintaining the chart of accounts and liaising with software suppliers to lead updates and upgrades;
  • Leading on the preparation of the annual report and accounts for Charity Projects (aka Comic Relief) and subsidiary entities;

You will be highly organised, meticulous and driven. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dynamic with a positive, solution orientated and fun approach.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified professional looking to make the first move out of practice and would provide a fantastic platform in your career. There is so much opportunity to both develop yourself and the finance function and therefore help ensure those in need get as much as they can in our quest for a just world free from poverty.
