A prominent higher education institution in Central London is recruiting for a capable and experienced Head of Financial Business Partnering to start immediately.

Joining this determined organisation in a key financial post will involve working closely with the CFO to produce consolidated management accounts inside the given deadlines for an initial 6 month period. This is currently a vacant position in the organisation and if successful will be given the opportunity to apply for the permanent role.

Other key duties of this role include:

  • Develop and drive strategic decision-making processes and tools for multiple faculties, working with all of them to optimise financial performance.
  • Provide accurate monthly management account information with an emphasis on variance analysis to aid senior managers and directors.
  • Working with relevant teams to prepare financial plans and budgets.
  • Continuously improve the budgeting and reporting processes.
  • Provide the highest quality advice and support to internal decision makers by providing clear and concise business and costing analysis.
  • Improving engagement with the business; proactively enhancing and developing relationships
  • Providing effective and strategic analysis and insight, in order to make recommendations as and when required.
  • Identifying areas of financial risk in the internal control regime, driving improvements where necessary.

Key person specification:

  • Fully qualified CCAB account.
  • Excellent organisational and management skills, with an ability to work to specific deadlines.
  • Experienced at working within a higher education institution.
  • Must have prior experience working as a Finance Business Partner in a large or complex organisation.
  • Adaptability and flexible with a particular willingness to learn new skills and participate in relevant training and staff development opportunities.
