Finance Business Partner

Allen Lane are currently working with a policing organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner to provide financial support and advice across a high value commissioning directorate. During a busy period, the successful candidate will have to work closely with Director and Heads of Service to finalise the budget for 20/21, whilst maintaining the routine reporting and transactional activity.

As such, key objectives include:

• Finalising the 20/21 budget, in particular around growth and savings options for the directorate
• Delivering accurate, relevant and timely financial performance and management information
• Keeping under review appropriate format of budget monitoring reports to ensure that they meet the business need.
• Promoting compliance with financial processes and appropriate use of systems

This would suit a qualified Accountant with a proactive nature, with resilience and the ability to work at pace. Having previous experience managing commissioning budgets is highly desirable and it is likely your background will be from local government, central government or  the police / criminal sector.
