Head of Resources (Deputy Section 151 Officer)

Allen Lane is recruiting an interim Head of Resources for a district council in central England. Reporting to the Director of Resources and acting as the Deputy Section 151 officer, you will lead day to day operations including Finance, IT, HR, Procurement and Corporate Support services.

In addition to leading day to day operations, you will provide leadership to significant improvement programmes across finance and IT as the council invests in infrastructure in a variety of ways.

You must be a fully qualified accountant with experience in leading wider resources across the public sector, ideally within local government. This role particularly suits candidates with experience in Section 151 or Deputy Section 151 role with Finance and other corporate services reporting in.
