Corporate Finance Manager

A London Borough has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative Corporate Finance Manager to support and lead the council’s Corporate Finance team. This key role will give the right candidate the opportunity to get invaluable experience across a range of key corporate areas within the Council.

Role:

As the Corporate Finance Manager you will be leading an innovative and professional team of accountants, focussed on delivering quality professional services

Reporting to the Strategic Corporate Finance Partner you will be responsible for the operational management and delivery of all Financial Reporting requirements, overseeing the production of annual Statements of Accounts and all other Government returns

You will be CCAB qualified and have extensive experience of closure of accounts, within a Local Government setting and experience of people management and working with senior management and members.

You will have the ability to prioritise busy annual cycles of workload and to coordinate the work of finance officers across divisions, be comfortable to work under pressure and have a wide understanding of the SORP, IFRS and other accounting standards applicable to a local authority.
