Interim Director of Corporate Services

My client is one of the leading brands in the UK cancer charity sector, delivering world-class research and life-changing care. At present they are looking to appoint an interim Director of Corporate Services to provide strategic financial and commercial leadership as the organisation delivers on a new strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to specialist back office functions including Finance, IT, People and Legal, promoting the delivery of a progressive and proactive corporate services team culture.
• Take ultimate responsibility for effective and accountable financial management of the organisation, including overseeing the investment and reserves strategies to assure alignment with the business’ mission.
• Work in partnership with the Senior Leadership team in planning and delivering a strong and sustainable financial future for the organisation considering both commercial profitability and risk management.
• Oversee an organisational review to ensure the business is aligned to the new strategy where efficiencies and new initiatives are optimised.

Person Specification:

• Qualified accountant with significant financial management experience at board level.
• Experience of managing multi-discipline teams e.g. Legal, HR, IT, Facilities through change.
• Track record of working in mid to large, complex charitable organisations.
• Strong leadership, influencing and coaching skills.
• A clear thinker and first class communicator with the ability to manage complex senior relationships.
