8A Service Manager – General Surgery, Breast, Vascular, Colorectal, Upper GI & Lower GI

I am currently looking for an 8a interim Service Manager within Surgery for a DGH.

This post will be inside IR35, starting in the next few weeks for 3-6 months. Day rate – DOE.

Reporting to the General Manager the post holder is to be responsible for the operational management and the effective and efficient delivery of services provided within General Surgery, in support of the General Manager, Divisional Director and Care Group Leads, ensuring effective co-ordination and management of budgets and agreed national or local performance objectives.

The Service Manager will manage the administrative staff and will work in partnership with the Matron, Ward Managers, Care Group Leads & Medical staff.

The post holder must have the following experience:

• NHS Operational Management experience minimum 8a level
• Strong knowledge of Cancer Pathways
• Have worked either within Surgery or a speciality with a Cancer pathway.
• PTL Management
• Proven track record in improving RTT performance
• Capacity and demand modelling.
