The role

Join us, and you’ll be responsible for the technology that procures and manages more than £700m of goods, works and services.  As our lead technical adviser, you’ll ensure that our procurement systems deliver both the organisation’s needs and continuous improvement.

One of your early challenges will be the procurement of a new e-tendering and contract management system.  You’ll lead on all aspects of this – working with stakeholders across two councils to develop the requirements, engage the market, and procure and implement the best solution.

You’ll also manage our analytics and insight team, ensuring that decisions are informed by the best possible evidence to achieve maximum value from all of our commercial activity.

Your background

You’ll have a passion for the power of data and technology – and an expert understanding of how this can be applied to large, complex supply chain operations.

 

With a strong customer focus, you’ll ensure that our systems and processes are not only fit for corporate purposes but are easy to use and add value to the daily work of internal users.

 

You’ll be highly organised and methodical, ideally with a project management qualification and experience of Agile development.  What’s most important is that you have an excellent way with stakeholders and can demonstrate having worked widely and inclusively with different groups to reconcile their needs.
