Our City for All vision is to provide world class services to the residents and communities we serve. We will do this by creating a greener and cleaner city, vibrant communities and one of the best connected, most technologically advanced cities in the world.
Join us, and you’ll help to deliver this vision and vital public services by providing outstanding commercial advice within your assigned business area and market category.
Working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager for your area, you’ll help to plan and co-ordinate resources to ensure that complex programmes of work are delivered to plan. Roles are available across:
- Adults, Children’s and Public Health
- Environment and City Management
- Growth, Planning and Housing
You’ll bring deep subject matter expertise and market knowledge of your chosen area, supported by a track record of delivering better outcomes through commercial activity.
You’ll be a quick and agile thinker, able to switch deftly between strategic commercial thinking and the detail required to ensure projects are kept on track. Your strong analytical skills will make you an asset to any team or project – and you’ll use these to help navigate complexity.
Importantly, you’ll also have outstanding skills with stakeholders, being able to thrive in complex project environments and helping others to do the same. You’ll be cool under pressure, facilitating a way of working where everyone contributes to the council’s success.
A great place to grow
We know that the best results are generated when our people have the freedom to flourish. It’s how we set standards that others seek to emulate. So you can expect to enjoy agile working and targeted personal and professional development. We work hard to create a progressive and diverse working environment, including benefits like shared parental leave and flexible working opportunities.
