Finance Business Partner

An interesting opening has arisen at an acute NHS Trust in Manchester for an experienced accountant to join the financial management team.

Responsible to a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will provide business partnering support to designated clinical directorates in all their monthly, annual and ad hoc financial performance and planning activities.  This post will co-ordinate the workload and set the objectives and priorities for a specific area, but routine monthly reporting and analysis tasks are delegated to the management accounting team.  At times, the post-holder is likely to have the opportunity to act as the designated financial management representatives at directorate operational meetings.

You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with experience of working within a hospital environment in a senior management accounting or financial management role.  Owing to the broad range of contacts you will be liaising with, you will need first rate communication skills to be able to rapidly build effective working relationships. Additionally, you will require the ability to assimilate and analyse large amounts of data quickly and to this end, strong Excel skills and an eye for detail will be helpful.
