We are recruiting proven, energetic and engaged Interim Project Managers on behalf of a central London-based Government Agency on a programme of significant potential impact and political sensitivity.  If you are actively looking to challenge and hone your project management skills, and have the ability to bring together diverse professional skill sets to deliver against a set objective, we would welcome to opportunity to discuss this further.

Working on a team of like-minded professionals, each with a dedicated client portfolio to support, you will quickly develop a strong grasp of the processes and practices involved in this funding programme and co-ordinate a wide variety of professionals from policy experts to lawyers to delivery. The programme is directly related to construction and any exposure you have to the administration and execution of those projects – or to the delivery of government funding programmes – will be beneficial. An understanding of delivery on public sector initiatives will also help.

The assignment involves leading on the day to day management, delivery monitoring and reporting of the activity of the Fund, as it relates to your clients and projects specifically; and within the wider context of the programme. Your wide-ranging brief will include:

  • Providing astute and expert advice on how to effectively access the Fund and put it to the best use
  • Grasping the nuances of process and expertly navigating them
  • Planning effectively to avoid issues and delays and anticipating challenges
  • Engaging individuals and professionals including policy specialists; construction experts; risk analysts; lawyers; civil servants and finance professionals
  • Ensuring tight deadlines are met and focusing on timely delivery

As a Project Manager, you will have an organised approach but be pragmatic and adaptable, recognising the potential for changes and adjusting accordingly. A proactive attitude to overcoming challenges and a strong understanding of how best to engage other professionals will be crucial.

This funding programme is urgent and needed: if you feel you can bring your skills to bear and play a key role in delivering it, then please get in touch. Please note that the assignment is likely to be viewed as in scope of IR35 and contractors comfortable working on that basis would be welcomed.
