Financial Strategy Manager

Allen Lane are working with a Local Authority to recruit a Financial Strategy Specialist to join their central finance department. Working with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will use your expertise to review current budget setting and monitoring processes, enhancing where possible.

As such, key objectives include;

• Consolidate monthly corporate budget monitoring report and ensuring robustness and integrity of the financial position
• Finalise preparation of the Council’s budget and MTFS
• Supporting senior leadership team and S151 Officer at meetings with Members and non-Finance Directors
• Provide high quality and consistent advice on ad hoc projects

This is a great role for a CCAB qualified Accountant with previous experience in developing the preparation of the MTFS for a council. Flexibility in your attitude will be key, as alongside strategic work you will be required to do some hands on technical work.
