Interim Director of Finance and Resources

A Local Authority is currently looking to recruit an Interim Director of Finance and Resources – S151.

The Local Authority is going through a period of transformation and change and as such are now looking for an interim to lead and offer leadership to the finance directorate and the wider resources portfolio., working with the Chief Executive to achieve savings and transform the finance and resources .

You will support the Deputy 151 to lead the council’s finance team and be accountable for the effective delivery of the financial strategy, annual investment and treasury management strategy and risk management policy

You will lead and advise Executive Directors, Cabinet Members and Committees and in the effective planning, monitoring and delivery of the Council’s financial strategy, treasury management strategy and investment strategy,

As the Council’s S151 officer it’s essential that you are a qualified finance professional, and  someone who can influence and add value across the full spectrum, both within the organisation and through external partnerships.

Due to COVID-19 it is expected that this role will be mostly remote working for the foreseeable
