A central government department is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Consultant with broad project lifecycle experience able to take control of the test assurance activity for a critical business application.

To fulfil its regulatory capacity our client organisation has developed a new information and management and reporting system, which handles monthly submissions from entities within its field.  The information submitted in these returns is crucial for the organisation to be able to discharge its national and international responsibilities.  The information and management system is in its final development and transition into live operational running and so resource is required to develop a quality assurance framework and deliver business acceptance and regression testing.

You should be an experienced quality assurance analyst with experience of developing testing strategies and plans, ideally within a government or regulated industry environment.  You should have experience of introducing structured QA methods and processes to a relatively small, new function and should be able to demonstrate the ability to innovate, improvise and drive continuous improvement to achieve the require maturity. Recent experience of working with MS .Net Framework, Web IIS and MS SQL Server technology will be important. Exposure to working with, and guiding, subject matter experts will be helpful and wider experience of IT supply chain management will be helpful.  Good stakeholder management and communication skills will be key as you will need to develop effective working relationships and bridge the gap between business and technical communities.  SC clearance would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity to join an important Brexit related project towards the final stages of completion and help provide essential assurance input.  For the right character, it should be a rewarding experience.  The role will initially be carried out via remote working.
