The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner of London. We work to deliver the Mayor’s ambitious agenda for making our city safer for all, and to fulfil his statutory responsibilities for the maintenance of an efficient and effective police service for the nation’s capital.
MOPAC is now looking for a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support the delivery of the Mayor’s ambitious and wide-ranging agenda to improve policing, reduce crime, tackle serious violence and safeguard children, as well as providing appropriate oversight of the Met’s strategic, operational and financial performance.
The CFO will be a member of the MOPAC Board and will report to and work closely with the Chief Executive, to develop and deliver the Mayor’s strategic objectives. The role also works closely with the Metropolitan Police Service’s CFO whilst also exercising an objective oversight to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
As well as leading the finance team the postholder will have a responsibility for Procurement & Commercial and Estates, supported by small teams and diverse shared service arrangements. They will also have matrix oversight of HR activity.

To be suitable for the role you need to be an influential finance leader with proven experience of working collaboratively and navigating a complex political environment. A demonstrable track record of developing financial strategy and implementing saving plans is also essential.
