My client is one of the largest museums in London and has been inspiring people for decades with its story and collection. Their long term plan is to completely modernise their brand and commercialise their operations. For the Finance team, it starts with bringing in a Business Analyst to take responsibility for implementing, tracking and reporting performance metrics for both the Museum and it’s trading subsidiary. The role will initially be a 12 month fixed term contract, but will likely become permanent after that.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and agreeing performance indicators with senior managers and establishing the processes for collecting the data.
  • Building the reporting models to collect and process the data, linking outputs into the existing reporting routines and performance dashboards.
  • Work with the Senior Management Group (SMG) heads of departments and budget-holders to review, analyse and report on commercial trends and variances.
  • Provision of financial and statistical data for preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts and other reports as required.
  • Working with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and SMG heads of departments to establish benchmarks for their functions and monitor progress against them.
  • Provide further modelling support across projects, business cases, and cost saving initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant and a self-confessed excel whizz who will take pride and great joy in creating advanced models and communicating them confidently to senior management. This is a fantastic opportunity for an analyst to play a key role in decision making and also be able to present their work to SLT.

The role will be initially working remotely, however you must be commutable distance to their North London office for when office working returns.
