Oxfordshire County Council and Cherwell District Council have recently undergone a review of their Procurement capabilities and operating model and have subsequently put forward an exciting transformation programme.
As part of this transformation, they are in search of a commercially savvy Head of Procurement & Contract Management, as it creates a commercially focused, centrally coordinated “Provision cycle”, with a category management approach; becoming an integral and valued (internal and external) strategic partner with increased execution. Reporting to the Director of Law and Governance, the post holder will lead and embed a new operating model that is both fit for purpose and drives value for money.
To succeed you must have a strong track record of operating at a senior level, experience of driving change and transformation and must possess a commercial mind set. The post holder will ideally have experience of change management, exceptional communication and influencing skills, and be able to build sustainable and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders. As well as this, your strong and visible leadership will enable you to develop a talented, diverse and engaged workforce.
