Assistant Finance Manager

Allen Lane is working with a central London university in the recruitment of an interim Assistant Finance Manager.

Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of financial management to aid business planning and reporting.

As such, duties include;

• Ensuring that monthly income and expenditure, budgets and forecasts, and returns, are timely, accurate and robust;
• Ensuring that advice is accurate and gives a clear view of issues, risks and required actions Ensuring that advice, reports and commentaries are accurate and give a clear view of issues, risks and required actions;
• Ensuring that budget holders understand their budgets and financial performance and are taking action to address any issues and risks

This role will be appointed to on an interim basis initially but the intention is for this individual to be made permanent in 2021.

You must be a part qualified CCAB accountant or a fully qualified AAT accountant. Previously experience in a management accounting function within education or the charity sector will be hugely advantageous.
