Interim Head of Finance
Date posted: 08/03/2021
Duration: 3 - 4 months
Salary: £350 - £390 per day
An interesting new role has arisen for an experienced finance manager to lend support and leadership at a NHS CCG while it goes through a period of transformation.
As Head of Finance you will be focused on delivering financial support and advice across complex long term conditions and partnership working. Working with the senior team, you will be picking up a variety of work, including some key business cases, and helping to improve processes and embed new ways of working. As a result, you will be a key liaison point between finance and the operational management teams, so will be likely to spend a good deal of time managing stakeholders, helping them understand financial implications and making informed decisions.
You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with substantial post qualification experience of financial management in a NHS or Local Authority environment. Ideally you will previously have worked with complex and individual life care services and partnership working. The right candidate will need to demonstrate initiative and the ability to improve and develop processes. Strong communication skills are essential as you’ll need to rapidly develop effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
This role offers the opportunity to help develop the service delivered by a team in a changing environment and will offer an engaging challenge to the right person.
