Interim External Auditor

We are looking for a number of external auditors to start immediately with our client.

The key responsibilities are:

• The preparation and completion of high-quality audit work programmes;
• The timely audit of annual accounts, audited to professional standards;
• Deputising for the Audit Lead if and when required;
• Acting as Reporting Officer for junior staff including performance assessment and day to day management and desk training;
• Keeping Audit Manager/Audit Lead informed of progress;
• Maintaining knowledge of and good relations with the audited body;
• Conducting fieldwork (compliance and substantive testing, analytical review, etc.)
• Producing high quality audit write ups and ensuring high quality outputs are delivered by more junior staff;
• Submitting completed audit work (e.g. examination and certification journals) to task managers;

Key criteria:

• Ideally ACA Qualified – ACCA/CIMA to be considered also
• Experience with external audit, ideally from Big 4, top 10 and beyond will also be considered
• Experience playing a key part in undertaking end-to-end Audit process
• Experience within Central Government is desired
• Advanced excel skills
• A can-do attitude
