Film London is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller, to proactively manage Film London’s accounts, budgets, financial systems and procurement.  Working closely with the Senior Management Team, this is a hands-on role responsible for both the management accounting and financial accounting of this creative industries charity.

The Financial Controller is a key role within the agency, managing proactively Film London’s accounts, budgets and financial systems ensuring that they are accurate and up to date. The post is responsible for financial reporting to the Trustees, to our funders (regional, national and EU) as well as Trusts and Foundation. The Financial Controller ensures that Film London’s financial systems and controls are robust and that Film London is legally compliant with regards to its financial reporting. They are expected to work proactively with the senior management team.

The Financial Controller will report to the Chief Operating Officer who in turn reports to the Chief Executive.  They will be supported by the Finance Officer and work closely with the Senior Finance Consultant.

We are looking for a qualified accountant, ideally with charity experience, who enjoys working in a small team. You will have solid experience in managing the annual audit process including liaising with the external auditors. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders across the organisation. Enthusiasm for what we do and the creative industries we work with is a must.
