Allen Lane is working alongside a highly reputable NHS organisation in London, who are on the lookout for an experienced, Prince 2 Practitioner certified, Project Manager who has specialised in a number of large-scale Windows 10 deployments for Public Sector clients, to join on an initial 1-year Fixed Term Contract.

The role will project manage the rollout of Windows 10 to over 15,000 staff, with a mix of management, technical abilities and stakeholder relations all required to be successful. Duties for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Co-ordinate and produce all reporting requirements relating to the project progress and present to PMO, SMT, local project boards and the organisation’s management executives where appropriate
  • Matrix management of a diverse group of Clinicians, Clinical Analysts, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Solution Architects and 3rd party suppliers
  • Identify and measure project benefits, and act as a champion for assigned new solutions including promoting project objectives and benefits
  • Set up, manage and chair clinical, technical and operational management project groups and project boards
  • Take a proactive role in supplier negotiations relevant to the project as directed by the Programme Manager
  • Ensure any new solution selected is chosen and developed in a structured, formal, open manner and meets current and future requirements and that any risks associated with the use of the software are adequately costed and mitigated on behalf of the Project Sponsor
  • Lead on the specification, procurement, design, testing and implementation of new solutions
  • Maintain understanding, knowledge, and awareness of technology developments and best practice in health IT system solutions in a variety of care settings

The client is after a candidate with the following background:

  • Extensive experience of a minimum of two Windows 10 deployments, within both large public sector and/or commercial organisations
  • Extensive project management experience and minimum of 6 years leading complex and/or multiple projects using various project management methods
  • Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent Project Management qualification
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work closely and effectively with staff at all levels and disciplines both internally and externally
  • Track record of projects delivered to time, cost and scope
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to effectively present to senior staff and external professional bodies
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks at any one time
