Allen Lane are delighted to be supporting The King’s Fund in their search for a new Head of IT. This is a brilliant opportunity to join an independent charity working to improve health and care in England.
Located in London’s West End, The King’s Fund help shape policy and practice through research and analysis; develop individuals, teams and organisations; promote understanding of the health and social care system; and bring people together to learn, share knowledge and debate. Their vision is that the best possible health and care is available to all.
As Head of IT, you will provide strategic and operational leadership in respect of the Fund’s use of IT and support the Fund’s ambitions towards greater digital working. You will have the freedom to develop and deliver an approved IT workplan aligned to the Fund’s overall strategy, while leading a skilled IT team (4 staff) in the provision of a high quality, responsive service to all users.
The King’s Fund are seeking an experienced manager, with a focus on customers and continuous improvement, and values and behaviours that align with the Fund’s and support our ambition to be a more diverse and inclusive organisation. You will have a track record of building high-quality working relationships and providing a blend of support, development and performance management that enables individuals to work at their best.
To be successful, you’ll need to be technically qualified with experience of leading an IT department of similar scale and complexity and of managing projects and programmes of work that involve significant change. As a minimum you will have completed ITIL Foundation and ideally have experience of managing Office 365 suite, other cloud-based applications, Sharepoint and Microsoft SQL applications.
