At an exciting period of change and transformation, RSPCA are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Financial Controller to provide high quality financial support to the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing annual statutory accounts for submission to the Charity Commission and Companies House;
  • Leading on the preparation of group consolidations, external reporting requirements, treasury management, VAT and tax compliance;
  • Supporting the design, implementation and review of systems, processes and procedures to improve insight quality and stronger controls;
  • Leading on ad hoc projects within the Finance Department.

The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional from the Commercial or Charity secotr with an in depth understanding of financial reporting and control. You will likely be ACA qualified from an audit background and as such will have demonstrable experience in managing audits. You will have robust technical skills and a meticulous approach. We are looking for somebody pragmatic, motivated and be able to take initiative. Experience with Sage X3 would be advantageous.
