Interim Finance Consultant

A Local Authority is currently looking to recruit a Finance consultant to implement the Cipfa Financial Management code of practice across the council.

You will have worked at a fairly senior level within a local authority corporate finance team ideally Chief Accountant level and above

Outline of Brief

• Financial Management code compliance action plan and delivery – to report to Audit and Standards committee
• Redmond review compliance action plan
• Medium Term Financial Strategy – to produce a report that documents our budget assumptions to be published alongside Cabinet budget reports.
• To produce Financial Practice Notes that document our financial processes and internal controls.

This role will also be outside IR35
